Bluey & Baloo was established in 2007, by Michelle Peters.
The inspiration for the name came from her experience as a Brownie and Rainbow Guider, her name was Bluey at 5th Bebington Brownies.
When she started in 2001, Blue Tit was the name kindly chosen by her daughter Haylea and friends after a pow wow, which was then shortened to Bluey. Baloo was added to represent the Scouting history of her husband Simon Peters
Since 2007 she has entertained children at a number of different venues including, the Oxton Green Community Shop, Wirral Play Days, Tam O' Shanters Urban Farm, Thinking Day 2008 in Liverpool and many Birthdays, Christenings and Weddings. Since 2010 she extended the services offered to include mobile Creche facilities and has been awarded contracts to supply creche services to Wirral NHS, Wirral Change and Morning Mums networking group.
Smarties - Pre-school Art and Play Out
Smarties was a series of funded play sessions in Bebington, Eastham, Birkenhead and Wallasey. The funding from Wirral MBC and a Grassroots grant enabled them to offer free or low cost playtime for children and their parents all over Wirral.
Awards
In 2010 Bluey & Baloo reached the finals of the Spirit of Merseyside Awards for Grassroots Project of the year.
